Accra Specialist Eye Hospital is a premier training center offering fellowship programs in Phacoemulsification Surgery and Retina Specialization. Our fellowships are designed for ophthalmologists seeking advanced clinical and surgical skills under the guidance of experienced faculty. Each program provides an immersive experience with a strong emphasis on hands-on training, personalized mentorship, and access to state-of-the-art equipment.

Phacoemulsification Fellowship

Our Phacoemulsification training is tailored to meet the specific needs of individual surgeons, enhancing their confidence to perform surgeries independently. With access to advanced instrumentation and expert faculty, our program equips trainees with the essential skills to excel in phaco surgery.

Program Options:

• Beginner Phaco Course: A combination of ECCE/SICS and phaco surgery training for beginners.
• Basic Phaco Course: For surgeons already confident in ECCE/SICS.
• Advanced Phaco Course: For surgeons aiming to master advanced phaco techniques.

Course Duration:
• 1 to 4 weeks, with the opportunity to perform 15 to 100 surgeries depending on individual needs and experience.

Application Requirements:
• A complete CV, degree/diploma certificates, and surgical logbook.

• Certificate: Trainees will receive a signed and stamped certificate indicating the number of surgeries performed, along with a logbook and instructional materials on phaco procedures.
